Overall Educational Objective To have knowledge about private insurance law and related legislation
Course Description Insurance law, insurance institutions, insurance agreements, rights and obligations of parties, types of insurances, alternative dispute resolution in insurance law

Course Learning Outcomes and Competences

Upon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:
1) Makes a clear distinction between private insurance and social insurance.
2) Knows private insurance organizations and supervision, other insurance institutions and intermediaries.
3) Learns how to establish an insurance contract, the rights and obligations of the parties.
4) Knows the types of insurance contracts, the principles governing them and the relevant legislation.
5) Learns alternative remedies specific to insurance law.

8) Skills to communicate the knowledge of psychological science effectively, in a variety of formats, in both Turkish and in English (in English, at least CEFR B2 level).
9) Recognition, understanding, and respect for the complexity of sociocultural and international diversity.

11) Ability to formulate critical hypotheses based on psychological theory and literature, and design studies to test those hypotheses.
