Overall Educational Objective | To teach the relationship between crime, perpetrator and victim, principles, theories and views. | ||||
Course Description | Throughout the course, we will examine the criminological theories including psychological, biological and sociological explanations of crime and criminality, methods, reasons of criminality and its repercussions over legislation process. | ||||
Course Description in Turkish | Bu dersin temel konuları şunlardır: Kriminoloji teorileri (psikolojik, biyolojik ve sosyolojik dahil olmak üzere), yöntemler, suçlunun konumu, suçun sebepleri, penoloji ve bunların yasama sürecindeki etkileri. |
Course Learning Outcomes and CompetencesUpon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:1) Understand the methods in criminology. 2) Learn the causes, consequences and effects of the relationship between crime-victim-perpetrator. 3) Learn the concept of criminality and its social effects. |
