Overall Educational Objective Having completed this course, a student will be able to know the basic principles of chemistry, integrate these principles to everyday observations, acquire chemical knowledge to form a basis for the engineering applications, apply scientific method to solve problems, have increased awareness in environmental issues.
Course Description In the laboratory lectures, students will be conducting simple experiments based on the fundamental principles acquired in the chemistry lectures; followed by the collection and analysis of data and preparation of reports.

Course Learning Outcomes and Competences

Upon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:
1) Apply fundamental principles acquired from the lectures and simple experiments
2) Conduct experiments and prepare data sheets as a team effort
3) Analyze, interpret data and report conclusions with individual effort
4) Report conclusions of experiments with individual effort
Program Learning Outcomes/Course Learning Outcomes 1 2 3 4
