Course Description |
In this course, pre-service teachers will be placed as assistant teachers at one of MEF University’s cooperating educational institutions under the guidance of an experienced teacher to attend 2 days a week (Tuesday and Friday). This course aims to give them a structured introduction to teaching, helps them acquire teaching competencies and develop teaching skills in school environment. Student teachers are expected to perform observation and application tasks that they carry out in a primary or secondary school under the guidance of a cooperating/mentor teacher and university supervisor. This internship will provide the candidates with the opportunity to observe EFL classrooms and analyze different aspects of classroom learning and teaching, helping them to develop insights into a wide range of teaching contexts. |

Bu ders kapsamında, aday öğretmenler MEF Üniversitesi’nin anlaşmalı olduğu eğitim kurumlardan birine haftada iki gün (Salı ve Cuma) olmak üzere usta bir öğretmenin rehberliğinde görev almak üzere yerleştirilecektir. Bu ders öğretmen adaylarına okul ortamında öğretime yapılandırılmış bir başlangıç imkanı, öğretim yetkinlikleri edinme imkanı ve öğretim becerilerini geliştirme imkanı sunmayı hedeflemektedir. Adayların usta öğretmen ve üniversite danışmanı desteğiyle ilkokul ve ortaokulda gözlem ve uygulama ödevlerini yapmaları beklenir. Bu staj adaylara İngilizce derslerini gözlemleme ve sınıf-içi öğrenim ve öğretimin çeşitli yönlerini analiz etme fırsatı sunmaktadır.
