| Overall Educational Objective | To learn to understand the film and TV industry in relation with interior design, lighting design, set/scenic design. | ||||
| Course Description | TV Set design is a field of design which combines interior architecture, lighting design and technology not only for human use but also for the cameras. This course will prepare students to enter the film and TV industry, working within art departments of areas such as film, drama, light entertainment or special themed shows. The course will equip you with a broad range of skills in scenic / set design and lead to careers as scenic production designers. In addition, students will develop the necessary skills to work in related areas such as exhibition design, retail design and TV studio design. |
Course Learning Outcomes and CompetencesUpon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:1) understand designing space for a camera angle; 2) analyze shows, characters and concept mood of a production; 3) discuss shows and artistic performances in terms of decoration and light; 4) create overall look of a production. |
