| Overall Educational Objective | The aim of this course is to prepare a thesis proposal on a selected topic in economics and finance. | ||||
| Course Description | The objective of the course is to guide the students during the research process. Each student will select a research topic, identify hypotheses, conduct a literature review, select data sources, and finally, build the research proposal that will be the basis of their thesis. |
Course Learning Outcomes and CompetencesUpon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:1) Identify research question and hypothesis; 2) Locate published research and summarize the economic literature on a particular topic; 3) data collection; 4) gain academic writing skills; 5) develop presentation skills. |
