Overall Educational Objective | To learn to express one’s ideas by drawing. | ||||
Course Description | The course starts with examining the methods of drawing which is the main expression way of the design world. Drawing techniques, various drawing tools, information and examples about color and light to be explained in the beginning of the course while the students experience them by practice. It is aimed for students to use drawing and sketching as a communication tool while learning to survey interiors, sketch furniture and design. In the end period, the students use the methods they have learned throughout the course and implement them to their own project design. |
Course Learning Outcomes and CompetencesUpon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:1) sketch to express one’s thoughts; 2) choose the correct tools & techniques to present one’s design; 3) comprehend the effect of the light and the color on spaces in various scales and design objects. |
