Overall Educational Objective This course aims to provide knowledge and skills regarding ethical principles and general practice standards in the field of psychological counseling and guidance, decision-making in accordance with professional ethics, client rights and responsibilities of the psychological counselor, and legal problems.
Course Description During the semester, lessons will be conducted under the following topics: 1. Conceptually human rights, ethics and law, ethics and law in professional practice 2. Ethical problems, ethical dilemmas in the field of PDR (over professional practice examples) 3.Laws and regulations in the field of PDR and their working order in practice 4. PDR professional practices in ethical and legal framework An environment will be created where students will be both effective buyers and presenters, express their opinions and discuss them. Students will not only be able to absorb the topics but also comprehend them as practical knowledge.

Course Learning Outcomes and Competences

Upon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:
1) The individual recalls his or her awareness, as a young adult, of established knowledge and practices of morality, ethics, and law that apply to all areas of life.
2) To be able to distinguish the differences and similarities between the concepts of morality, ethics, law and their applications in life
3) To recognize and distinguish ethical and legal wrongs and rights in the field of social life and professional practice.
4) Obtain information about ethical rules and regulations and act in accordance with these regulations in professional practice, and learn by discussing how to act in the face of inappropriate attitudes and behaviors.
5) Each student must have examined and discussed at least one ethical and legal problem in the field of PDR and gained a general understanding of all such problems.
6) Doing academic reading in the field of professional ethics and law.
7) To practice one's profession according to ethical principles and to defend ethical principles

9) Understand group counseling dynamics and able to facilitate various types of groups using appropriate and relevant group facilitation skills to create transformational experiences with clients.
10) Recognize and consider a human development framework when implementing counseling services within a multi-tiered approach to prevention and intervention.
11) Write and interpret scientific research projects.
12) Analyze scientific researches and understand how research findings can be integrated into the counseling process in practice.
13) Demonstrates an ethical understanding of professional limitations and competencies and they understand how to self-evaluate their own performance in relation to these ethical standards.
14) Design a psychoeducation program to counseling practice informed by, and grounded in, theories, research, and personal experiences.
15) Demonstrate counseling skills that include interviewing and case conceptualization.
16) Apply and provide an individual and group counseling based on effective therapeutic factors and characteristics.
17) Recognizes the importance of staying dynamic and up to date by reading and continuing their experiences in the field.
18) Evaluate their own competencies and when working with a vulnerable population, continue to be reading and seek support or supervision from experts in the field.
