Course Description | This undergraduate course is designed for the development of prospective English language teachers in the domains of communicative competence. Through this course, students will explore the aspects of spoken communication, focusing on its potential to support teaching and learning in various contexts involving English language instruction. Students will engage in hands-on activities and projects, learning techniques for spoken production and comprehension, allowing them to design tasks facilitating acquisition of communicative competence. Emphasis will be placed on tasks that invoke awareness of the pragmatic and discursive competence, facilitating a holistic and critical understanding thereof. By the end of the course, students will possess the necessary communicative expertise to create interactive tasks that emphasize the complex dynamics and creativity of spoken conversation for their future classrooms. |

Teaching Methods | Flipped Learning – Seminar – Discussion – Q & A session. Students are supposed to read the assigned chapter, watch relevant videos and complete pre-class work.
