Overall Educational Objective |
To ensure that students who have successfully completed the doctoral qualifying exam prepare a thesis proposal within six months at the latest, as a requirement of having to orally defend the thesis proposal including the purpose, method and work plan of the research to be conducted in front of the thesis monitoring committee. |
Course Description |
t is ensured that the student prepares a thesis proposal which includes the meaning, purpose and importance of the thesis to be written by the student, its original value, its potential widespread impact on social life after it is written, a summary of the literature describing the previous studies on the subject of the thesis, the methods or techniques to be used and finally a work time plan in terms of writing the thesis. |

Öğrencinin yazacağı doktora tezinin anlam, amaç ve önemini, özgün değerini, yazıldıktan sonra sosyal yaşama potansiyel yaygın etkisini, tez konusu ile ilgili daha önce yapılmış çalışmaların açıklandığı literatür özetini, kullanılacak yöntem veya teknikleri ve sonunda tezin yazılması bakımından iş-zaman planını içeren bir tez önerisi hazırlaması sağlanır. |
Course Learning Outcomes and Competences
Upon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:
1) Explains the meaning and importance of the thesis topic, states its purpose.
2) Explains the original value of the thesis topic and the widespread impact it is intended to create in social life.
3) Conducts a literature review on the thesis topic and shows this in the thesis proposal.
4) Creates a time plan explaining how the thesis will be written in which time period and with what kind of a plan.
