Overall Educational Objective To acquire knowledge of quantitative analysis concepts with applications using modern tools
Course Description The aim of this course is to introduce important risk concepts and then to teach quantitative risk analysis and control techniques by engineering, economic, environmental and security aspects and to emphasize their role in decision support systems.

Upon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:
1) Önemli risk kavramlarını anlayarak uygun analizler yapar;
2) Uygun sayısal yöntemlerle risk analizi ve optimizasyon yapar;
3) Riski, farklı boyutlarıyla (güvenlik, çevre, finans, vb.) bir karar destek aracı olarak kullanır

Attendance/participation: According to YÖK regulations, students are required to attend at least 70% of the lectures. Students are expected to prepare for the lecture via pre-lecture videos and reading materials and attend the lectures.
