Overall Educational Objective |
To become familiar with the steps of scientific research projects conducted by the faculty members from different areas of psychology and to be able to integrate psychological research practice in those research projects. |
Course Description |
This course is aimed to expand students’ skills in conducting and evaluating research in psychology. Students will engage in different steps of research projects including data collection, coding, or writing manuscripts together with the faculty member in a specific project. Students will also be able to critically evaluate empirical studies in psychology. At the end of the course students will write a formal research paper or present findings verbally. |

Upon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:
1) Psikoloji alanındaki ilgi alanlarında literatür bulgularını ve bilimsel makaleleri değerlendirin.
2) Yoğun bir veri kodlama sürecine katılmak;
3) veri toplama (gerekliyse);
4) Araştırma bulgularını SPSS aracılığıyla değerlendirmek;
5) Araştırma bulgularını ampirik bir formatta yazmak veya sunmak;

Laboratory Work | Students will use the lab SPSS facilities to enter and analyse the data they have collected as well as to do literature review for their empirical paper. |
