Overall Educational Objective To learn how to teach the courses taught at kindergarten, primary school, secondary school, high school and university (K-16) levels by doing projects, doing, experiencing and producing.
Course Description Teaching the courses taught in all educational institutions fom kindergarten to üniversity through constructivist methods, that is, through living, doing and producing. Learning how to design, implement and assess the Project based Education. Teoretical foundations of Project based Education: Constructivism, acive learning, and experiential learning. Pedagogical and social rationale for the Project based Education. Basic components of Project based Education. Examining successful samples of Project based Education. Assessment of the projects designed and implemented by the students taking the course.Displaying, sharing and rewarding the completed successful projects.
Course Description in Turkish Anaokulundan üniversiteye kadar her türlü eğitim kurumunda okutulan derslerin yapılandırmacı yöntemlerle, yaparak, yaşayarak ve üreterek öğrenilmesi için ders projelerinin tasarlanması, uygulanması ve değerlendirilmesi. Proje Temelli Eğitimin teorik temelleri (yapılandırmacılık, aktif öğrenme, deneyimle öğrenme). Proje Temelli Eğitimin eğitsel ve sosyal gerekçesi. Ders projelerinin temel ögeleri. Başarılı ders projelerinin incelenmesi. Yüksek lisans dersini alan öğrencilerin kendi öğrencileriyle birlikte tasarlayıp uyguladıkları projelerin değerlendirilmesi. Tamamlanan başarılı projelerin sergilenmesi, paylaşılması ve ödüllendirilmesi.

Course Learning Outcomes and Competences

Upon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:
1) To use the research-based scientific and pedagogical foundations of project-based education in the projects designed.
2) To understand why project-based education is necessary for academic success and contribution to society, to explain it in the project text and to share it with the people and institutions with whom the project is designed.
3) To use theories such as constructivism, active learning and experimental learning, which form the theoretical foundations of project-based education, in the projects designed.
4) To design, implement and evaluate project-based education by designing, implementing, doing and experiencing a real course project with students.
5) To understand the basic elements of project-based education and to define these elements functionally in the project designed to implement them with students.
6) Analyzes the applied course projects and draws lessons from them to use in the projects he/she designs.
7) To offer suggestions on how Project-Based Education should be designed and implemented according to the evaluation results of course projects implemented with students.

Teaching MethodsIn this course, Constructivist, Student Centered and Flipped Learning methods are applied. It is the student's responsibility to research, read and learn the weekly topics of the course before coming to class. In all kinds of course activities, methods that provide the opportunity to learn by doing, experiencing and producing, and that lead to reflective development and creativity by learning from experiences are applied. Students form a Learning Community. In the learning community, everyone shares their ideas with the group without any concern. The group is aware that learning is not only an individual experience but also a social process (Learning is social). Active participation of students and interaction between students in all kinds of teaching and learning activities are essential.

Derse Aktif Katılım: Derse devam ve dersteki etkinliklere aktif katılım zorunludur. Üç haftadan fazla devamsızlık sınıfta kalma sebebidir. Öğrencilerin gerçek zamanlı sınıf etkinliklerine ve Blackboard'da veya Zoom’da verilen online alana aktif olarak katılmaları beklenmektedir. Özel İhtiyaçlar: Derse uyuma ilişkin (öğrenme güçlüğü vb gibi) özel durumları olan öğrenciler bu konuda dersin öğretim üyesini dönemin ilk iki haftasında bilgilendirmelidir. Akademik Dürüstlük: Ders yükümlülüklerini karşılamada dürüstlük esastır. Tüm öğrencilerden, herhangi bir çalışmayı izinsiz veya kaynak göstermeden kullanmayı, gerçek olmayan kaynaklar kullanmayı veya kaynakları başka türlü tahrif etmeyi yasaklayan akademik dürüstlüğe uymaları beklenir. Bu kural, sınavlar, raporlar ve diğer tüm ödevler için geçerlidir. Dürüstlük ilkesini ihlal eden öğrenciler hakkında YÖK Öğrenci Disiplin Mevzuatı uygulanacaktır.
