Overall Educational Objective To help students understand the strategic decision-making process of the firm, what those decisions are, why managers make them, and the consequences of each decision.
Course Description Administrative process under conditions of uncertainty. Emphasis in integrating knowledge acquired in the functional areas of business administration in formulating administrative strategies and policies.
Course Description in Turkish Belirsizliğin hakim olduğu zamanlarda yönetim süreci. Vurgulanan daha çok işletmenin fonksiyonel alanlarından toplanan bilginin şirket strateji ve politikalarını belirlemeye olan etkisi.

Course Learning Outcomes and Competences

Upon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:
1) Comprehend a general manager's view of the firm using a holistic and integrated approach to managing an organization
2) Demonstrate knowledge and skills acquired in the business program (particularly the business core) in analyzing a business situation
3) Identifiy business issues by using a strategic framework which includes the following elements: a. Strategy, b. The environment, c. Organizational resources, capabilities and managerial preferences, d. Strategic fit, competitive advantage, implementation and organizational performance.
4) Describe how functional areas interact to influence firm performance and to make decisions that create better integration between functional areas so as to improve organizational performance
5) Work effectively with peers to develop and recommend specific, strategic solutions to organizational problems (evidenced by peer evaluations).
