Course Description This course aims to provide an understanding of risk management. Students are expected to gain a broad understanding of business, business risks, risk management and the interconnectedness between business and corporate risk management. Students will learn how to identify risks and how to attempt to manage those risks so that they have sustainable businesses. We explore the meaning and dimensions of risk, risk management, sustainability and corporate governance, their relation with financial structure and economics of the business, learn strategies for achieving risk management and implementation plans.

Upon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:
1) To evaluate the working principles of the business world within the framework of risk management
2) Recognize and identify organizational risks

4) Demonstrate the link between corporate risks, risk management and sustainability
5) Interpret information and quantitative data to systematically assess organizational risks and reporting requirements
6) Demonstrate critical thinking skills in proposing and defending plans for risk management in business
