Overall Educational Objective Learning essential skills for success in work, life, active citizenship, and in the classroom, and increasing awareness of 21st century skills, originally developed by the P21 (21st Century Skills Frameworks for Program and Instruction (USA Practices)) organization, and applying the gains in the classroom.
Course Description YetGen Teacher Training Program is a training program that aims to provide teachers with the awareness of the competencies they will need while guiding their students and aims to raise awareness of 21st century competencies. In the training content; In addition to business skills such as Educational Technologies, In-Class Application Examples, Technology Literacy, Introduction to Algorithmic Thinking, Modeling with Excel and Presentation Techniques, life skills such as Teamwork and Self-Development are also included. YetGen offers participants a platform that does not contain discrimination, where everyone is equal, is inclusive, and cares about feedback; It offers a learner-oriented education process with its culture based on learning together and from each other. Participants are expected to complete the preliminary resources and asynchronous interactive content before the class in order to practice and ask their questions during class time. During classes, participants experience a structured and interactive MOOC with problems and team exercises. Participants are also required to complete all assignments to pass this course.
Course Description in Turkish YetGen Öğretmen Eğitimi Programı, öğretmenlere öğrencilerine rehberlik ederken ihtiyaç duyacakları yetkinliklerin farkındalığını kazandırmayı amaçlayan ve 21. yüzyıl yetkinliklerinin farkındalığını kazandırmayı hedefleyen bir eğitim programıdır. Eğitim içeriğinde; Eğitim Teknolojileri, Sınıf İçi Uygulama Örnekleri, Teknoloji Okuryazarlığı, Algoritmik Düşünmeye Giriş, Excel ile Modelleme ve Sunum Teknikleri gibi iş becerilerinin yanı sıra Takım Çalışması, Öz Gelişim gibi yaşam becerileri de yer almaktadır. YetGen, katılımcılara içerisinde ayrımcılık bulundurmayan, herkesin eşit olduğu, kapsayıcı, geri beslemeyi önemseyen; birlikte ve birbirinden öğrenmesini temel alan kültürü ile öğrenen odaklı bir eğitim süreci sunmaktadır. Katılımcılardan, ders saatinde uygulamalarını yapmak ve sorularını sormak üzere ön hazırlık kaynaklarını ve asenkron interaktif içerikleri dersten önce tamamlamaları beklenir. Dersler sırasında katılımcılar, problemler ve takım egzersizleri ile yapılandırılmış ve etkileşimli bir MOOC deneyimi yaşarlar. Katılımcıların ayrıca bu kursu geçmek için tüm ödevleri tamamlamaları gerekmektedir.

Required/Recommended Readings-
Teaching MethodsIn this course, the Flipped Learning method is applied. Each week's topics are consumed before class. It is the responsibility of the students to read the interactive questions, information notes and complete the quizzes in the content consumed asynchronously. Students become involved in a learning community. In the learning community, everyone can share their ideas and questions, and they can also openly share their questions and comments with course instructors. In addition to learning on their own, students experience the process of learning together and from each other. It also becomes a part of the culture of success together. In addition to question-answer sessions during class, active participation of students in teamwork is expected and interaction between students is expected.

Derse Aktif Katılım: Derse devam ve dersteki etkinliklere aktif katılım zorunludur. Öğrencilerin gerçek zamanlı sınıf etkinliklerine ve Slido ve Discord’da verilen online alana aktif olarak katılmaları beklenmektedir. Katılamama durumları olduğunda mümkünse önceden haber vermesi beklenmektedir. Ödevlerin Zamanında Teslimi: Ödevlerin tümünün termin tarihinden önce teslim edilmesi beklenmektedir. Akademik Dürüstlük: Ders yükümlülüklerini karşılamada dürüstlük esastır. Akademik dürüstlük ilkesini ihlal eden öğrenciler YÖK Disiplin Mevzuatı’na tabi olacaktır.
