Language Courses

At the School of Foreign Languages, we offer a diverse array of elective language courses. While these courses are obligatory for students in the Political Sciences and ELT departments, they are available for all faculties. Our department encompasses five languages: Spanish, German, French, Italian, and Russian, with proficiency levels provided at both A1 and A2. Each of these levels is further subdivided into A1.1, A1.2, A2.1, and A2.2, each requiring one semester to complete, thereby establishing a robust foundation for a language-learning journey.

Within SFL, every language course utilizes a range of pre-class, in-class, and post-class materials, thoughtfully chosen to elevate the overall learning experience.

Our educational mission extends beyond language instruction. We are dedicated to nurturing student independence, promoting collaborative learning, and facilitating communicative approach effectively. This commitment includes the integration of innovative methodologies such as the Flipped Learning approach and online learning opportunities.

All our language courses are conducted online via Zoom, with Blackboard serving as the University's chosen Learning Management System (LMS) for all SFL courses.

Student progress is consistently evaluated, and their final grade is calculated based on a combination of examination results and ongoing assessment grades.

Learners are allotted two academic hours per session, occurring twice a week, totaling four hours of instruction each week.
