Application of basic economics knowledge and business practices and general education at a company or institution in a field of economics and business. |
Course Description |
This course will provide students with an understanding about the kinds of work economists do in an organization. Students will obtain knowledge about business practices. They will develop self-learning skills and apply economic knowledge by working in a company for minimum 20 working days. Students will analyze an activity, describe it in details, and provide and interpret necessary data to generate relevant performance measure(s). |

Bu ders, öğrencilerin ekonomi mezunlarının kurumlarda ne tür işler yaptığına dair fikir edinmelerini sağlayacaktır. Öğrenciler işletme uygulamaları hakkında bilgi edinecektir. Bir kurumda en az 20 iş günü çalışmak sureti ile kendi kendine öğrenme yeteneklerini geliştireceklerdir. Öğrenciler detaylı faaliyet analizi yapacak ve ilgili performans ölçütlerini tanımlamak için gerekli verileri toplayacaklardır. |
Course Learning Outcomes and Competences
Upon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:
1) Describe an economic and business activity, its performance indicators, and point out problematic issues based on an analysis of related data/information.
2) Describe, explain and evaluate composition, organization, and performance of a team.
3) Explain professional and ethical responsibilities of economists
4) Organize and deliver effective written, virtual, and graphical communication in a self-contained report.
5) Explain impacts of economics and business applications/activity in a global, environmental, and societal context.
6) Identify and explain additional knowledge, skills, and attitudes that would be appropriate for professional practice as a sign of recognition of need for and an ability to engage in lifelong learning.
7) Analyze contemporary issues related to the future of the sector (selected problem/process/system).
