| Course Description | There are many aspects of the E.U. law that are distinctive, but the nature of an introductory course compels the instructor to be selective. This course will touch the major elements of the E.U. law in a general way and deal with selected bedrock cases, through the analysis of the contemporary developments. As a first- year law course, rather than placing a special emphasis on some core concepts, the course offers a selective field survey of the E.U. law. | |||||
| Course Description in Turkish | Bir giriş dersi niteliğindeki bu derste Avrupa Birliği hukuk sistemine özgü unsurların tamamı yerine sadece seçilmiş belirli konular, güncel gelişmeler çerçevesinde işlenmektedir. Derste AB hukukunun temel unsurları incelenmekte ve önemli mahkeme kararları ele alınmaktadır. Bir birinci yıl dersi olarak, belirli konuların derinlemesine incelenmesi yerine AB hukuk sistemi genel olarak değerlendirilmektedir. |
Course Learning Outcomes and CompetencesUpon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:1) be familiar with the history of the EU, as well as contemporary developments 2) understand the key concepts, principles and terminology of the E.U. law, 3) learn the legal thinking that is distinctive to the E.U. law 4) develop the basic understanding which would enable the participant to apply central elements of E.U. law 5) have the knowledge of the extent and limits of the powers of the E.U 6) analyze contemporary real- life issues |
