Course Learning Outcomes and CompetencesUpon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:1) Understand a general manager's view of the firm, using a holistic and integrated approach to managing an organization 2) Demonstrate knowledge and skills acquired in the business program (especially the business core) when analyzing a business situation 3) Identifying business issues using a strategic framework that includes the following elements: a. Strategy, b. Environment, c. Institutional resources, capabilities and managerial preferences, D. Strategic alignment, competitive advantage, implementation and organizational performance 4) Describing how functional areas interact to influence firm performance and make decisions that create better integration across functional areas to improve organizational performance 5) Working effectively with colleagues to develop and propose specific, strategic solutions to organizational problems |
