Overall Educational Objective |
To be able to consider the concept of sustainability in businesses from different perspectives such as entrepreneurship, marketing, energy and environmental policies and to obtain a comprehensive analysis ability in these areas.

Course Description |
The content of the course basically includes the relations between the environment and sustainability, examining the concepts about effective resource use and sustainability management through case studies. In this context, this course provides an intensive examination in terms of different sectors and allocation of resources while clearly conveying environmental issues and sustainability concepts to the student. The course will also examine developments in global and regional climate change policies, how climate diplomacy and trade measures affect business models from a broad perspective. |

Dersin içeriğinde temel olarak, çevre ve sürdürülebilirlik arasındaki ilişkilerle etkin kaynak kullanımı ve sürdürülebilirlik yönetimi hakkında kavramların vaka analizleri kullanılarak irdelenmesi yer almaktadır. Bu kapsamda, bu ders çevre konuları ve sürdürülebilirlik kavramlarını net bir şekilde öğrenciye aktarırken farklı sektörler ve kaynakların tahsisi açısından yoğun bir inceleme sunmaktadır. Derste ayrıca küresel ve bölgesel iklim değişikliği politikalarına ilişkin gelişmeler, iklim diplomasisi ve ticaret önlemlerinin iş modellerini nasıl etkilediği de geniş bir perspektifte incelenecektir. |

Upon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:
1) To understand the concept of sustainability in depth and to understand in general terms how to use it in management
2) Identifying and analyzing environmental problems and solutions
3) Following environmental resources and sustainability analyzes in different sectors
4) Demonstrating the importance of the concept of corporate sustainability for businesses
5) Understand and apply concepts such as green entrepreneurship, sustainable production and consumption
6) Knowledge of the close interaction between sustainability policies and business models
7) Define the principles of climate-related business operations in the context of sustainability
