Overall Educational Objective The objective of the seminar is to develop the students’ acquaintance with different research topics in both macro and microeconomics, policy oriented topics and enable students to carry-on an independent research on a selected area of interest.
Course Description Students enrolled in this course will carry-on an independent research throughout the term. The weekly lectures will be composed of active lecture discussions on preparing a research hypothesis, literature review, methodological discussions and preparing an empirical outlay for the independent research. At the end of the term each student will submit a research paper and present the main findings of their research.

Prof. Dr. Burhan Can Karahasan Each week a three hour lecture will be done. Lecture materials (ppts., readings and videos) will be distributed digitally before the related lecture. Students are expected to work with these materials before the lecture. Active lecture discussion will be carried out based on the assigned materials.
