Overall Educational Objective | In this course, students will learn contracts as a source of obligation, types of contractual obligations, principles of their performance and consequences of their non-performance. | ||||
Course Description | This course will firstly introduce the general principles of the law of obligations. The course will then focus on the law of contracts, where subjects such as formation, validity, performance and non performance of contracts as well as the authority of agents will be explained in detail. | ||||
Course Description in Turkish | Bu ders kapsamında öncelikle borçlar hukukuna dair temel bilgilere yer verilecek olup daha sonra özellikle borcun kaynağı olarak hukuki işlemler incelenecektir. Ders çerçevesinde özellikle sözleşmeler hukukuna ağırlık verilecek olup sözleşmenin kuruluşu, geçerliliği, temsil, sözleşmelerin ifası ve ifa etmemeye bağlanan sonuçlar üzerinde durulacaktır. |
Course Learning Outcomes and CompetencesUpon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:1) Learns the basic concepts of contracts as a source of obligation, the formation and validity of contracts, the performance and non-performance of contractual obligations. 2) Can present and discuss the content of the provisions regarding contracts and can answer text questions. 3) Identify the legal problems that may arise in concrete cases regarding contracts and apply the relevant provision. 4) Evaluate and criticise the results of the application of the provisions regarding contracts. |
