Overall Educational Objective | To learn to understand the strategic decision-making processes of the firm, what those decisions are, why managers make them, and the consequences of each decision. | ||||
Course Description | Administrative process under conditions of uncertainty. Emphasis in integrating knowledge acquired in the functional areas of business administration in formulating administrative strategies and policies. | ||||

Course Learning Outcomes and CompetencesUpon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:1) comprehend a general manager's view of the firm using a holistic and integrated approach to managing an organization 2) identify business issues by using a strategic framework 3) describe how functional areas interact to influence firm performance and to make decisions that create better integration between functional areas so as to improve organizational performance 4) work effectively with peers to develop and recommend specific, strategic solutions to organizational problems. |

Teaching Methods | Videos, powerpoint presentations for each session, cases and group projects. The students are expected to come each session having read and watched the course material. The course involves cases and projects, students are expected to engage in the class discussion and apply the knowledge acquired in a team setting. | ||||||||||||||||||
Homework and Projects | The students will be making one presentation as a group at the end of the course. The groups will be formed and the details of the projects will be announced later by the instructor. Each group will have maximum 5 members and each team member will present their part individually.
