Overall Educational Objective | The general educational objective of the course is to familiarize students with the basic concepts and research areas of political science and to familiarize them with the theories of political science. | ||||
Course Description | The course aims to give students a basic knowledge on the content of two core concepts of political science, namely state and power. The main topics that the course contains are as follows: differences and common points between divided and undivided societies, basic elements of the modern state, theories explining power relations within political systems and gender dimension of the political power. | ||||
Course Description in Turkish | Ders siyaset biliminin temel kavramları olan devlet ve iktidarın içeriğini öğrencilere vermek amacına yönelik kurgulanmıştır. Bu bağlamda devletli ve devletsiz toplumlar ayrımı incelenecek, modern devletin unsurları ele alınacak, klasik ve ilişkisel iktidar yaklaşımları değerlendirilecektir. Son olarak iktidarın toplumsal cinsiyet boyutu ele alınacaktır. |
