Overall Educational Objective General Educational Objective of the Course Learning the general principles and principles of Zoning Law and discussion on related cases.
Course Description To cover the general principles and concepts of planning law and to discuss the legal issues within related cases.
Course Description in Turkish İmar Hukukunun genel ilke ve esaslarının incelenmesi ve ilgili mahkeme kararlarında hukuki sorunların tartışılması.

Course Learning Outcomes and Competences

Upon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:
1) To be able to explain the relationship between the planning authority of the state and spatial planning
2) To learn the historical development of zoning law in Turkish law
3) To explain the basic concepts of zoning law
4) Learns the basic legal principles that dominate the zoning law and to solve the problems in the field of zoning law based on these principles
5) Learns the types of zoning plans and the relationships between them. To gain the ability to use the hierarchy of zoning plans while solving problems arising in zoning law
6) Learns the administrations authorized for zoning planning. To gain the ability to solve the conflicts of authority arising in this field
7) To learn the implementation procedures of zoning plans and their functions in zoning law
8) To learn building inspection in zoning law and the results of this inspection, the legal regime to which zoning law sanctions are subject

6) Internalization and dissemination of professional ethical standards.
7) Demonstration of competence in information technologies, and the ability to use computer and other technologies for purposes related to the pursuit of knowledge in psychology and the broader social sciences.
8) Skills to communicate the knowledge of psychological science effectively, in a variety of formats, in both Turkish and in English (in English, at least CEFR B2 level).
9) Recognition, understanding, and respect for the complexity of sociocultural and international diversity.
10) Recognition for the need for, and the skills to pursue, lifelong learning, inquiry, and self-improvement.
11) Ability to formulate critical hypotheses based on psychological theory and literature, and design studies to test those hypotheses.
12) Ability to acquire knowledge independently, and to plan one’s own learning.
13) Demonstration of advanced competence in the clarity and composition of written work and presentations.
