Overall Educational Objective To teach the basic concepts of penal execution law and its functioning in practice.
Course Description This course aims to explain and discuss the correction period which starts with the conviction of the defendant by the criminal court. The major topics will include the principles of the execution system that prisoners are subjected to, rights and obligations of the prisoners and the regulations regarding correctional facilities.
Course Description in Turkish Bu ders kapsamında, mahkûmiyet hükmü verilmesinin ardından başlayan infaz döneminin incelenmesi, söz konusu mahkûmiyet kararı sonunda hükümlünün tâbi olacağı infaz rejimine ilişkin temel ilkelerin, hükümlülerin hakları ve yükümlülüklerinin, ceza infaz kurumlarının ve infaz sonrası tabi olunan koşulların anlatılması planlanmaktadır.

Upon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:
1) Understand the basic concepts of criminal execution law.
2) Learn the execution of sentences given at the end of the trial with a historical and comparative dimension.
3) They can apply it to real life events.
4) They can produce solutions to problems by applying the concepts in question.

10) Recognition for the need for, and the skills to pursue, lifelong learning, inquiry, and self-improvement.
11) Ability to formulate critical hypotheses based on psychological theory and literature, and design studies to test those hypotheses.
12) Ability to acquire knowledge independently, and to plan one’s own learning.
13) Demonstration of advanced competence in the clarity and composition of written work and presentations.
