Overall Educational Objective | To facilitate student transition to law classes in English and to develop skills in reading, writing and speaking on legal issues. | ||||
Course Description | To cover often used legal terminology in various areas of law through legal texts, court decisions and films, to discuss the legal issues within the related materials and to translate specified texts. | ||||
Course Description in Turkish | Hukuk metinleri, mahkeme kararları ve filmler aracılığıyla hukukun çeşitli alanlarında sıklıkla kullanılan hukuki terminolojiyi ele almak, ilgili materyallerdeki hukuki konuları tartışmak ve belirtilen metinleri tercüme etmek. |
Course Learning Outcomes and CompetencesUpon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:1) Summarise and translate legal texts 2) Recognise and explain legal concepts in related legal materials 3) Identify and discuss the legal issues in case studies and films. |
