Overall Educational Objective | Students will learn the foundations and key concepts relating to EU Consumer Law. | ||||
Course Description | The aim of the lecture is to improve the students’ academic and professional knowledge analyzing the problematic areas of consumer rights protection. By these means, the students will be equipped with theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the area of the protection of consumer rights, comprising both the internal and EU market. | ||||
Course Description in Turkish | Dersin amacı, öğrencilerin tüketici haklarının korunmasına ilişkin sorunlu alanları analiz eden akademik ve mesleki bilgilerini geliştirmektir. Bu sayede öğrenciler, hem iç hem de AB pazarını kapsayan tüketici haklarının korunması alanında teorik bilgi ve pratik becerilerle donatılacaktır. |
Course Learning Outcomes and CompetencesUpon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:1) Have detailed knowledge about the rights of a consumer within the EU and how to enforce these rights 2) Learn the comparative aspects of EU law with national laws 3) Demonstrate a sound knowledge with regard to consumer protection concerning sale of goods and services, unfair practices, product liability, travel leisure contracts and financial services 4) Discuss the data protection issues in the era of internet |
