Course Description | This course is designed to teach student conducting a research study by having students work on a project that includes a mathematical research topic. The students will work under the supervision of an advisor and they will write a report that includes the research that they conducted on the topic that they selected. | ||||
Course Description in Turkish | Bu ders öğrencilerin seçtikleri bir matematiksel araştırma konusunda proje yaparken matematik alanındaki gelişmeleri öğrenmelerine olanak sağlamak için tasarlanmıştır. Öğrenciler bir danışmanın gözetiminde seçtikleri konuda araştırma yapacak ve bu araştırmaları bir final raporu ile danışmanlarına sunacaklardır. |
Course Learning Outcomes and CompetencesUpon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:1) show ability to plan and monitor one’s own learning; 2) show ability to find information about and conduct a literature review on a mathematical research topic; 3) describe the current and future trends on a mathematical research topic; 4) organize and deliver effective written and verbal communication. |
