Overall Educational Objective To learn to comprehend the professional, legal and managerial dimensions related to the practices of interior design.
Course Description This course provides learners with exposure to the practical aspects of the interior design profession. It offers an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge gained in academic settings to real-world projects and challenges. Internships aim to enhance and develop a range of skills crucial to the design field. This includes design skills, technical proficiency in drafting and modeling, communication skills, project management, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. The course seeks to integrate learners into the professional culture and practices of design firms. It is organized in a manner that enables students to understand the workflow, project dynamics, and the professional expectations and standards within the industry. Throughout the course, learners will engage in hands-on learning, collaborative projects, and experiences alongside practicing designers, interior designers, and architects. By completing this course, students will gain internship experience covering 72 working days.
Course Description in Turkish Bu ders öğrencilere iç mimarlık mesleğinin pratik yönleriyle tanışma olanağı sağlar ve öğrencilerin kazandıkları akademik bilgileri gerçek meslek hayatındaki projeler ve şartlar içinde uygulama deneyimini kazanmalarını hedefler. Stajlar, iç mimarlık alanı için önemli olan çeşitli becerileri geliştirmeyi ve geliştirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Buna tasarım becerileri, teknik yeterlilik, iletişim becerileri, proje yönetimi ve bir ekip içinde çalışma yeteneği dahildir. Bu ders, öğrencileri iç mimarlık disiplininin mesleki kültürü ve uygulamalarına entegre etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Ders, öğrencilerin çalışma hayatındaki iş akışını, proje dinamiklerini, sektördeki mesleki beklentileri ve standartları anlamalarını sağlayacak şekilde düzenlenmiştir. Öğrenciler bu dersi tamamlayarak 72 iş gününü kapsayan staj deneyimi kazanacaklardır.

1) know various phases of interior design projects;
2) collaborate in a team setting;
3) develop practical design skills, including proficiency in drafting, modeling, and using design software;
4) communicate effectively within a professional context.

11) Ability to formulate critical hypotheses based on psychological theory and literature, and design studies to test those hypotheses.
12) Ability to acquire knowledge independently, and to plan one’s own learning.
13) Demonstration of advanced competence in the clarity and composition of written work and presentations.
