Course Description | This course aims to explore the power of building and co-producing in architecture education and the spatial, social impact of productions in various environments by partnering with local governments, non-governmental organizations and industry. MEF FADA Design and Build! Studio will involve learners by producing one-to-one scale from the first moment of the design to the final step of production. Feeling the power of co-production, discovering limits, learning collective decision-making processes, are the triggers of observing and understanding each other and making. | ||||
Course Description in Turkish | Bu ders, mimarlık eğitiminde inşa etmenin ve ortak üretmenin gücünü ve yerel yönetimler, sivil toplum kuruluşları ve sanayi ile ortaklık kurarak üretimlerin çeşitli ortamlardaki mekânsal, sosyal etkisini keşfetmeyi amaçlamaktadır. MEF FADA Tasarla ve Yap! Stüdyo, tasarımın ilk anından üretimin son aşamasına kadar öğrencileri 1:1 ölçekte üretim sürecine dahil eder. Birlikte üretmenin gücünü hissetmek, sınırları keşfetmek, kolektif karar alma süreçlerini öğrenmek, birbirini gözlemlemenin, anlamanın ve üretmenin tetikleyicileridir. |
Course Learning Outcomes and CompetencesUpon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:1) work in 1:1 scale design and production process; 2) actively participate in collective decision-making and collaborative production; 3) communicate with local stakeholders and industry partners; 4) construct basic timber structures. |
