Course Description | This course aims to explore the power of building and co-producing in architecture education and the spatial, social impact of productions in various environments by partnering with local governments, non-governmental organizations and industry. MEF FADA Design and Build! Studio will involve learners by producing one-to-one scale from the first moment of the design to the final step of production. Feeling the power of co-production, discovering limits, learning collective decision-making processes, are the triggers of observing and understanding each other and making. |
Course Learning Outcomes and CompetencesUpon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:1) work in 1:1 scale design and production process; 2) actively participate in collective decision-making and collaborative production; 3) communicate with local stakeholders and industry partners; 4) construct basic timber structures. |
