Overall Educational Objective

To gain perspective in different areas of economics and finance.

Course Description

The objective of the seminar is to develop the students’ acquaintance with different research topics in both macroeconomics and finance. The seminar presenters are selected both from academic world as well as from policy institutions. In this class students are expected to further enhance their writing and discussion skills.

Upon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:
1) Identify the research question of a research paper.
2) Identify hypotheses of a research paper.
3) summarise the main aspects of the research design of an article;
4) Summarize the main findings of a research paper.

8) To apply the models used in financial decision making in accordance with risk management techniques and legal regulations.
