Course Description | This course is designed to create a knowledge base for students who wish to have a detailed understanding of international trade financing. The course will cover export and import operations and documents, insurance types used in international trade and financial tools used to safeguard the collections, as well as minimize risks such as bank letters and hedging mechanisms. The course has a practical perspective, thereby will entail analysis and discussion about customs, insurance and banking documentation in the classroom environment. | ||||
Course Description in Turkish | Bu ders, uluslararası ticaretin finansmanı alanındaki bilgilerini derinleştirmek isteyen öğrencier için temel bir bilgi tabanı yaratmaya yönelik olarak tasarlanmıştır.Derste işlenecek başlıca konular ihracat ve ithalat operasyonları ve evrakları, uluslararası ticarette kullanılan sigorta tipleri, ödeme riskini minimuma indirmek için kullanılması gereken finansal araçlar ve koruma mekanizmalarıdır. Dersite Pratik bir ders işleme tekniği kullanılacağından, günlük dış ticaret işlemlerinde yeralan gümrük, bankacılık ve sigorta dokümanları sınıf ortamında incelenecek ve tartışılacaktır. |

The groups will be formed and the details of the projects will be announced later by the instructor. Each group will have maximum 5 members and each team member will present their part individually. Prof. Dr. Hande Karadağ Office Hours: Wed 17.00-18.00 In this course, active participation is key to learning and applying, as for a topic like international business, new ideas can be generated through questioning, brain storming and discussion. Thus the grading of the class participation will be done based on the quality of active student participation and contribution to in-class activities. Students are expected to attend all sessions and be in class on time. When they can not attend due to a sickness (which should require a report from a full facility hospital) or an excuse accepted my MEF regulations, they should inform the instructors by mail. As the feedback and questions are very valuable for making the course a distinctive learning experience, students may visit the instructors during office hours or send e mails, for any course related issues. Academic dishonesty and plagiarism will be subject to the YÖK disciplinary regulation. |
