Course Description | An overview of personal and family financial planning with an emphasis on financial recordkeeping, planning your spending, tax planning, consumer credit, making buying decisions, purchasing insurance, selecting investments, and retirement and estate planning. | |||||

Course Learning Outcomes and CompetencesUpon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:1) Understand the fundamentals of personal and family financial planning 2) Demonstrate knowledge of effective financial recordkeeping practices 3) Come up with and implement a budget for personal and family finances 4) Understand different investment options and strategies and select investments based on financial goals and risk tolerance. 5) Analyze and evaluate consumer credit options, including loans and credit cards, and make informed decisions 6) Make informed buying decisions based on financial considerations |
