Course Description | This course provides an examination and understanding of professional and interpersonal skills for organizational, academic and personal development of psychologists while presenting an outlook of various career options in different sectors. | ||||

Course Learning Outcomes and CompetencesUpon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:1) Use computer technology and online / offline resources appropriately and responsibly to prepare concise, informative, clear, grammatically / format wise correct, properly citated and referenced, and ethically suitable resumes, online profiles, presentations, messages, mails and papers. 2) Communicate effectively and efficiently with others to relay information, present data, defend an argument and/or propose an idea in complex and active academic, clinical and professional environments. 3) Demonstrate an understanding and competence in career opportunities in organizational, clinical and academic psychology by advancing researching, analyzing and presenting information / data on relevant sectors, departments, firms, jobs, careers, influential figures, journals and linguistic specifics (jargons, terms, acronyms etc.). |

Teaching Methods | During this course, flipped learning format will be utilized. Students will be prepared for class by watching videos, reviewing the provided materials and reading suggested chapters and articles about the topic of the week. During the class time, they will work in groups and/or alone on various exercises. For some weeks, some Subject Matter Experts from the related field will be invited to the class in order to make students understand the real-world executions. | ||||||||||||
