Overall Educational Objective | To learn to understand designing spaces with optical illusions along new media tools and various experiences. | ||||
Course Description | This course aims to search how we perceive spaces and how we design spaces for different angles and points of view. “Illusionism in interiors” also searches for how new media tools and experiences help to shape the architectural spaces. The course also examines some interiors in historical buildings, thematic parks, hotels, museums and experimental spaces. |
Course Learning Outcomes and CompetencesUpon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:1) understand designing space with optical illusions; 2) analyze interiors, characters and concept mood of an interior production; 3) discuss needs of illusions and experimental spaces; 4) create overall look of an interior production; 5) create a small set using illusions and tricks. |
