Programme Educational Objectives

The Interior Design Undergraduate Program at MEF FADA offers a holistic educational model that approaches interior design within technological, cultural, and social contexts. It aims to educate designers who go beyond the physical aspects of space to develop creative solutions that transform everyday life, think through research-based methods, act with ethical responsibility, and possess leadership qualities. The program establishes a strong connection between theoretical knowledge and design practice. Design studios run in parallel with theoretical courses, enabling students to directly transfer their knowledge into spatial production. One of the distinctive features of the Interior Design Program is the “Design and Build! Studio”, which encourages students to realize their ideas not only on paper but also through hands-on production. This approach creates a powerful learning environment where students engage directly with materials, learn construction techniques, and question the feasibility of their designs. The program aims to equip students with critical thinking, collaboration skills, and the ability to sustain professional development. It envisions graduates who are ready to take active roles in interior design offices, creative industries, cultural projects, or their own independent design practices in the near future. Ultimately, the Interior design Program seeks to educate students not only for the profession but also as responsive and transformative designers attuned to a changing world.
