Overall Educational Objective Modern Türrkiye’nin kuruluşu sürecini öğrenmek.
Course Description This course examines the birth of modern Turkey after the War of Independence Victory. It analyzes the revolutions in political, social and cultural fields and the basic principles of the Atatürk revolution. It is aimed for the student to learn the establishment process of the new Republic and the newly created institutions. Information is given on the transition to a multi-party life from the one-party period, the Democratic Party Period, the 27 May and 12 September military interventions, and the recent Turkish political history. This course aims to give students the ability to comment on these important turning points of recent history.
Course Description in Turkish Bu ders, kurtuluş zaferinin kazanılmasından sonra başlayan modern Türkiye’nin doğuş sürecini incelemektedir. Siyasal, toplumsal ve kültürel alanlarda gerçekleştirilen devrimleri ve Atatürk devriminin temel ilkelerini analiz etmektedir. Öğrencinin yeni Cumhuriyet’in kuruluş sürecini ve yeni oluşturulan kurumları öğrenmesi hedeflenmektedir. Tek partili dönemden çok partili hayata geçiş, Demokrat Parti Dönemi, 27 Mayıs ve 12 Eylül askeri müdahalelerine ışık tutularak yakın Türk siyasi tarihi hakkında bilgi verilmektedir. Bu ders öğrencilere yakın tarihin bu önemli dönemeçleri hakkında yorum yapabilme yetisi kazandırma amacındadır.

1) Siyasal, toplumsal ve kültürel alanlarda gerçekleştirilen Atatürk devrimlerini öğrenmek
2) Yeni Cumhuriyet’in kuruluş sürecini ve yeni oluşturulan kurumları bilmek
3) Tek partili dönemden çok partili hayata geçişi ve sonuçlarını bilmek
4) Modern Türkiyenin kruuluş süreci hakkında yorum yapabilmek

11) Sensitivity for different cultures, values ​​and democratic rights of individuals; the knowledge of national culture and history, and using that knowledge in increasing awareness and involvement in national and international social, cultural, artistic, and technological developments.
12) A sense of professional and ethical responsibility, and awareness of national and universal sensitivity expressed in the Basic Law of National Education.
