Overall Educational Objective | To learn to understand the concept of industrial heritage and its terminology as a way of contextual thinking and industrial production environments by experimenting several re-used buildings and sites. | ||||
Course Description | This course provides the student to perceive specific terminology for conservation and industrial heritage and to interpret on different examples in interior architectural scale. It questions building conservation and intervention criterias. It also provides understanding Haliç in industrial heritage context. Interior design survey and study in Tersane-i Amire will be held and the buildings will be discussed in the context of Haliç. |
Course Learning Outcomes and CompetencesUpon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:1) understand the concept of industrial and cultural heritage; 2) present their reflected visions about historical buildings or sites; 3) comprehend adaptive reuse design precedents. |
