Overall Educational Objective Application of basic economics knowledge and business practices and general education at a company or institution in a field of economics and business.
Course Description This course will provide students with an understanding about the kinds of work economists do in an organization. Students will obtain knowledge about business practices. They will develop self-learning skills and apply economic knowledge by working in a company for minimum 30 working days. Students will analyze an activity, describe it in details, and provide and interpret necessary data to generate relevant performance measure(s).
Course Description in Turkish Bu ders, öğrencilere ekonomistlerin bir organizasyondaki yaptığı çalışma türleri hakkında anlayış kazandıracaktır. Öğrenciler, iş uygulamaları hakkında bilgi edineceklerdir. Kendi öğrenme becerilerini geliştirecek ve en az 30 iş günü boyunca bir şirkette çalışarak ekonomi bilgisini uygulayacaklardır. Öğrenciler, bir faaliyeti analiz edecek, detaylı bir şekilde açıklayacak ve ilgili performans ölçütlerini oluşturmak için gerekli verileri sağlayacak ve yorumlayacaklardır.

Course Learning Outcomes and Competences

Upon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:
1) İlgili veri/bilgi kapsamında bir ekonomik ve iş faaliyetini, performans göstergelerini açıklamak ve sorunlu konuları belirtmek.
2) Takımın kompozisyonunu, organizasyonunu ve performansını tanımlamak, açıklamak ve değerlendirmek.
3) Ekonomistlerin mesleki ve etik sorumluluklarını açıklamak.
4) Etkili yazılı, sanal ve grafik iletişimi içeren bir raporu düzenlemek ve başarıyla iletilmesini sağlamak.
5) Küresel, çevresel ve toplumsal bağlamda ekonomi ve iş uygulamalarının/aktivitelerinin etkilerini açıklamak.
6) Ömür boyu öğrenmeye yönelik ihtiyaçları tanıma ve bu alanda yetenek geliştirme anlamında profesyonel pratik için uygun olan ek bilgi, beceri ve tutumları belirlemek ve açıklamak.
7) Belirlenen sorun/süreç/sistemle ilgili sektörün geleceği ile ilgili çağdaş sorunları analiz etmek.
