Overall Educational Objective The objective of the seminar is to develop the students’ acquaintance with different research topics in both macro and microeconomics, policy oriented topics and enable students to carry-on an independent research on a selected area of interest.
Course Description Students enrolled in this course will carry-on an independent research throughout the term. The weekly lectures will be composed of active lecture discussions on preparing a research hypothesis, literature review, methodological discussions and preparing an empirical outlay for the independent research. At the end of the term each student will submit a research paper and present the main findings of their research.
Course Description in Turkish Bu derste öğrencilerin bağımsız bir araştırma makalesi hazırlaması beklenmektedir. Haftalık dersler aktif olarak tartışmalardan ve bağımsız bir araştırmanın oluşturulması için yapılacak hazırlıklardan oluşmaktadır. Araştırma sorusunnu belirlenmesi, literatür taraması hazırlanması, yöntemsel tartışmaların gerçekleştirilmesi ve uygulamalı analizlerin tamamlanması hedeflenmektedir. Dönem sonunda her öğrenci bağımsız bir araştırma makalesi teslim edecek sunum gerçekleştirilecektir.
