Overall Educational Objective | To appraise the dynamics of changing threats against nation-states in the wake of the post-Cold War and post-September 11 era and their reflections upon inter-state alliances. | ||||
Course Description | An advanced course that presents the state of affairs of our day pertaining to the current threats, actors and the form of systemic developments, as well as the novel alignments and their impact upon extant alliances among nation-states. | ||||

Course Learning Outcomes and CompetencesUpon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:1) Kursu başarıyla tamamlayan öğrencinin aşağıdakileri yapabilmesi beklenmektedir: 1. Hizalanmalar ve ittifaklar arasındaki farkları ayırt edebilecektir; 2) 2. Temel askeri-politik kavramları değişen gerçek dünya bağlamlarında uygulayabileceklerdir; 3) 3. İttifakların neden kurulduğunu, nasıl yönetildiğini ve sürdüğünü/çözüldüğünü değerlendirebilecektir; 4) 4. İttifaklara ilişkin küreselleşme dinamiklerini analiz edebilecek ve çıkarımlarda bulunabilecektir. |
