Overall Educational Objective To understand the principles of Corporate Finance and learn the skills that help in financial decision making process in a typical corporation
Course Description In today’s business world, both the management candidates and entrepreneurs who would like to do their own business needs to have the basic knowledge and skills about corporate finance or in other words how to manage finance issues. With this course, we are aiming to provide the necessary skills and knowledge to the students that will enable them to understand the basic principles of finance, learn how to use the decision making tools, analyze the situations and how to decide accordingly. Within the course the basic finance decisions and terminology shall be discussed while talking about the concepts of time value of money, opportunity cost, calculation and principles behind the net present value and IRR metrics together with cost of capital and cost of debt concepts
Course Description in Turkish Günümüz iş dünyasında, hem işletme adayları hem de kendi işlerini yapmak isteyen girişimciler, kurumsal finansman hakkında veya başka bir deyişle finans konularını nasıl yönetecekleri konusunda temel bilgi ve becerilere sahip olmalıdır. Bu ders ile öğrencilere finansın temel prensiplerini anlamalarını, karar verme araçlarını nasıl kullanmaları gerektiğini, durumları analiz etmelerini ve buna göre karar vermelerini sağlayacak gerekli bilgi ve becerileri kazandırmayı hedeflemektedir. Derste paranın zaman değeri, fırsat maliyeti, net bugünkü değerin arkasındaki hesaplama ve prensipler ve IRR metrikleri ile birlikte sermaye maliyeti ve borç maliyeti kavramları hakkında konuşulurken temel finans kararları ve terminolojisi tartışılacaktır.

4) Sermaye finansmanı ve borç finansmanı yöntemlerinin dinamiklerini anlar ve bu yöntemlerin avantaj ve dezavantajlarını mevcut finansal duruma göre değerlendirmek
