Overall Educational Objective To become familiar with the clinical psychology, psychotherapy techniques, psychopathology, innovative methods and brief solution focused perspective in therapy sessions; to be able to understand and interpret case formulation and treatment plan via case study examples.
Course Description This course aims to introduce the students to the innovative and brief psychotherapy techniques. Students are introduced to psychopathology, psychotherapy techniques and short term manual for therapy sessions.
Course Description in Turkish Bu ders, öğrencilere yenilikçi ve kısa süreli psikoterapi teknikleri ile tanıştırmayı amaçlamaktadır. Öğrenciler psikopatoloji, psikoterapi teknikleri ve terapi seansı için kullanılan yeni kısa süreli psikoterapi modelleri ile tanışacaklardır.

Upon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to:
1) Psikopatoloji ve değerlendirme bilgisine sahip olmak.
2) Vaka formülasyonunu düzenlemek ve pratik etmek.
3) Vaka çalışmalarını eleştirmek ve yeniden düşünmek.
4) Terapi seansı için yeni teknolojik yöntemleri anlamak ve kullanmak.
5) Klinik psikoterapi becerilerini pratiğini yapmak.
6) Tedavi planları düzenlemek.

4) Psikolojik ilke, beceri ve değerleri kişisel, sosyal ve örgütsel bağlamlarda anlama ve uygulama becerisi.
5) Psikoloji disipliniyle bağlantılı olan kanıtları değerlendirme, belirsizliği tolere etme ve diğer değerleri yansıtma becerisi.
6) Mesleki etik standartların içselleştirilmesi ve yayılması.
7) Psikoloji ve diğer sosyal bilimler alanlarında bilgi edinme amacıyla bilgi teknolojileri, bilgisayar ve diğer teknolojileri kullanma konusunda yetkinlik gösterme.
8) Psikoloji bilimi bilgisini Türkçe ve en azından CEFR B2 düzeyinde İngilizce olmak üzere çeşitli formatlarda etkili bir şekilde iletme becerisi.
9) Sosyokültürel ve uluslararası çeşitliliğin karmaşıklığını tanıma, anlama ve buna saygı gösterme.
10) Yaşam boyu öğrenme, araştırma ve kendini geliştirme ihtiyacını tanıma ve bu doğrultuda beceriler geliştirme.
11) Psikolojik teori ve literatüre dayanarak eleştirel hipotezler oluşturma ve bu hipotezleri test etmek için çalışmalar tasarlama becerisi.
12) Bağımsız olarak bilgi edinme ve kendi öğrenimini planlama becerisi.
13) Yazılı çalışmaların ve sunumların netliği ve düzeni konusunda ileri düzeyde yetkinlik gösterme.

Teaching MethodsThis course will be in the lecture format. Before the lecture, students will be expected to read each week’s articles and chapters prior the course. Students will work independently but also they need to do group works in classroom. Student will discuss and evaluate new psychotherapy techniques. Students will be expected to contribute to class discussions.

Course Administration
