Overall Educational Objective | Upon successful completion of the course, the learner is expected to be able to: 1. understand the area of neuropsychology and how it has developed until today; 2. comprehend nervous system and functional neuroanatomy; 3. know major neurological syndromes and disorders; 4. conduct neuropsychological research. | ||||
Course Description | The aim of this course is to present the basics of human neuropsychology. During the course, functional neuroanatomy, major neurological syndromes and disorders, how neuropsychological assessment is done and conducting research in this area will be studied. | ||||
Course Description in Turkish | Bu dersin amacı, insan nöropsikolojisinin temellerini sunmaktır. Bu derste fonksiyonel nöroanatomi, majör nörolojik sendromlar ve bozukluklar, nöropsikolojik değerlendirme süreci ve bu alanda nasıl araştırma yürütüleceği işlenecektir. |

Teaching Methods | Flipped format will be used for the whole course. Every week, students will be assigned to online lecture and related articles will be given before the class. It is expected that students read the related articles before the course and understand the concepts discussed in the videos. During the course, these concepts and readings will be discussed by grouping students. All students are expected to be prepared for all classes and actively join the discussions, ask questions and try to find answers to these questions.
