To acquire the ability to identify legal and ethical issues arising in today’s global business together with the relevant applicable laws. |
Course Description |
The course will conduct a general review of the meaning, sources and administration of business law and provide in-depth coverage of the following areas required to be elaborated and applied before and during business operations; law of contracts, corporate law, intellectual property rights, labor law and ethics & compliance will be examined. The course will also address various legal relationships in the concepts of private law, legislation regulating business, and practices may potentially affect the business climate.
Although the course is not designed to make the student a lawyer, it will aim to provide the student with sufficient background in legal concepts and competency to understand circumstances that require a legal consultant.

Bu ders ticaret hukukunun genel olarak anlamı, kaynakları ve yönetilmesi kavramları üzerine yoğunlaşmış olup; ticari faaliyetler öncesinde/sırasında detaylı olarak irdelenmesi ve uygulanması gerekli olan hukuk dalları olan sözleşmeler hukuku, ticaret hukuku, fikri mülkiyet hakları, iş hukuku, etik & uyum alanlarıyla ilgili ayrıntılı bir kapsam sunmaktadır. Bu derste aynı zamanda özel hukuk konseptleri içindeki çeşitli hukuki ilişkiler, ticareti düzenleyen mevzuat ve ticari ortamı potansiyel olarak etkileyebilecek uygulamalar ele alınmaktadır.
Bu ders öğrenciden avukat yaratmak üzerine tasarlanmamakla birlikte, öğrenciye hukuki kavramlar hakkında yeterli altyapı ile hukuki danışmanın varlığını gerektiren durumları idrak konusunda yeterlilik sağlamayı amaçlamaktadır.

Teaching Methods | This course was developed from an active and collaborative learning perception. The active learning perspective is based on collaborative, inquiry-based, student–centered approach for teaching, in which students are actively involved in their current knowledge accumulation.
The course will cover basic terminology and theoretical structure together with the associated practical implications. The methods to be used are introduction to legal concepts in general, case studies and in-class discussions.
