Overall Educational Objective To gain knowledge of organizational behavior from an individual, group, and organizational perspective; and to reflect on and apply this knowledge in ways that will enhance one’s abilities on and off the job.
Course Description Today, for companies to have sustainable competitive advantage, it is accepted that the most important resource is human resources. To manage human resources effectively, leaders / managers, HR professionals and employees must know how and why people behave in certain ways and how these behaviors can be converted to effective job results. Therefore, this course deals with human behavior in terms of conceptual frameworks, case discussions, and skill-oriented activities. Topics include the essential human processes such as perception, communications, motivation, group dynamics, leadership, power, organizational design and development, and organizational culture.
Course Description in Turkish Günümüzde şirketlerin sürdürülebilir rekabet avantajı elde etmeleri için en önemli kaynağının insan kaynağı olduğu kabul edilmektedir. İnsan kaynaklarını etkin bir şekilde yönetmek için liderler / yöneticiler, İK profesyonelleri ve çalışanlar insanların nasıl ve niçin belirli şekillerde davrandıklarını ve bu davranışların etkili iş sonuçlarına nasıl dönüşebileceğini bilmelidir. Bu nedenle, bu ders, kavramsal çerçeveler, vaka tartışmaları ve beceri odaklı etkinlikler açısından insan davranışlarını ele almaktadır. Konular arasında algı, iletişim, motivasyon, grup dinamikleri, liderlik, güç, organizasyonel tasarım ve geliştirme ve örgüt kültürü gibi temel insani süreçler yer almaktadır.

Asu Ulutürk Yavuz Due to the course content, it is very important to understand concepts and reflect on them by active thinking and discussion. Therefore, pre-class readings of the related part of the textbook and if any other material given is essential. Also in-class participation is very important to make sense of the content taught. It is strongly expected to generate questioning, brainstorming and discussion in class to learn from each other. Students are expected to attend all sessions and be in class on time. When they cannot attend due to a sickness (which should require a report from a full facility hospital) or an excuse accepted my MEF regulations, they should inform the instructors by mail. Academic dishonesty and plagiarism will be subject to the YÖK disciplinary regulation.
